Continence care

District nurses can give skilled professional advice on continence promotion and incontinence care. If you have concerns about managing continence you should speak to your GP. You can ask your GP to refer you for a Continence Assessment. If you already have a District Nurse visiting you he/she will be able to carry out the assessment.

Incontinence laundry service

This is a laundry service we provide that includes sheets, draw sheets and pillowcases. These are collected from your home once or twice a week and laundered and clean laundry is left with you. District nurses can give skilled professional advice on continence promotion and incontinence care.

You can ask your social worker or care co-ordinator to find out if you can use this service. There may be a charge depending on your financial circumstances but this will be determined by a financial assessment.

If you do not have a social worker or care co-ordinator please contact Adult Social Care Customer Services.  Contact details can be found by clicking on the link.
