Deborah Cody

I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since January 2009 and live with my adult daughter.I provide a safe, secure loving home from home environment, crucial for under 5's. I provide lots of stimulating activities ranging from reading, painting, baking and play-dough to ICT equipment.I have lots of resources for all ages.I visit local toddler groups and soft play areas every week as well as parks and nature walks: exercise and being out in the fresh air is important.I have a large garden with lawn and patio areas, outdoor playhouse and lots of outdoor toys including swings.

I actively support the children in my care to be kind, caring & to share.  I promote tolerance, honesty, courtesy, respect & independence. I encourage children to be confidence with mutual respect of different faiths and beliefs. These are British values which will equip children for life in modern Britain.

Excellent references, past and present parents are happy to discuss their experience of having children in my care.

I am registered to offer overnight care.

I work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition and maintain routines as much as possible. The children in my care mix with lots of other children through the groups that I attend.I provide child seats and pushchairs. I work within the EYFS framework. A learning journal is provided with photographs showing the activities we do to follow the EYFS framework and updated regularly for parents to read. The children love to look through their journals with me and their parents. I also keep daily diaries for parents to see their child's feeding, sleeping and nappy changing as well as what we have been up to.

I am registered to accept 3 year funding.

I keep up to date with regular training courses and my qualifictions are listed below:

Diploma in Home Based Childcare,Diploma Level 3 ( NVQ Level 3),Paediatric First Aid and EYFS courses are up to date with the changes implemented 2012 Safeguarding Children training. I have 6 O levels and 3 A levels
