I am an NNEB qualified ex early years manager. I have attended courses on Managing Children's Behaviour,National Curriculum planning , I have also attended Implementing the EYFS, an Ofsted evaluation work shop and Safeguarding Children training.

I chose to become a childminder when my eldest son was born rather than return to my previous job as I felt I could offer the children more within the home environment. Although I do plan my days and routines around the childrens ages and stages of development it is so liberating to have the freedom of being a childminder when spontaneous events occur i.e. making the most of the weather conditions,for example going on a welly walk or having fun in the snow.

I always try to take the children on at least one outing in the  holidays ( more during the summer holiday).These visits have included Birmingham Sealife Centre,Twycross Zoo,swimming,Hatton Country World,Plantasia and a variety of different parks to name but a few.

Above all else I like to make the children feel loved and safe during their time with me. Every child is made to feel like part of one big family..I like to think that all the children are given a sense of belonging and comfort and enjoy every minute that they are with me.

I offer a friendly,caring environment with a family atmosphere to all of the children in my care and a flexible,professional and friendly approach to all the parents.

I have a fully equipped garden for various outside games and toys as well as using local parks. I also have a large conservatory built on to the back of the house which is used as a activity room/dining room. It is also used for a large variety of art and craft activities especially during holidays.
