The Coventry East study centre opened in November 2003 and we welcome students of all ages and abilities; at present our youngest student is four years old and our eldest student is 16. The majority of these students live locally and attend local schools but we also have several students who cannot attend class and choose to study with the Coventry East centre by correspondence and through occasional visits to the class during school holidays.

The spacious site is large enough to cater very comfortably for all students and the extensive car park and friendly waiting area make Kumon visits fun and relaxing for all concerned.

Over the years the Coventry East Kumon Study Centre has fast become an essential part of the community as more and more families experience the positive effects of just a small amount of study, at exactly the right level, each day.

Kumon's long-term focus provides children with the self-assurance and the transferable self-learning skills to realise their potential throughout school and life.

Enrolment Procedure

If you would like to explore further whether Kumon is right for you as a family, please contact me and book in for the group information and enrolment session which is held once every month at the Gallery Suite of the Alan Higgs Leisure Centre. This is a meeting between the parent, child and Instructor at the venue. The aim is to clarify our individual roles within Kumon and to find out where on the programme your child would start if they did begin.

This latter task is done through the child sitting a simple diagnostic test which is designed to show what they currently find easy. This test is not a "pass or fail" exam but, as the name suggests, a piece of work aimed at diagnosing your child's current ability.

The group enrolment visit lasts about one hour depending on how many questions you may have. At the end of it, you will hopefully feel able to make an informed decision about whether Kumon is the right approach for your child and whether you can commit to it as a family.
