We have a wide variety of experience within the staff team and we have previously supported children and family’s with physical needs e.g. mobility, asthma, visual and hearing loss. We have years of experience of providing food and activities for children with dietary needs and all staff are trained by the Food Standards Agency this has helped improve our knowledge and support those with food allergies and intolerances. We can cater for those with cultural or medical allergies. We have staff who are trained to administer an epi-pen.We actively encourage parents to engage with their children's learning by involving them in curriculum by volunteering or sharing their culture by telling stories, cooking.

We encourage parents to share information about their employment; we have annual visits from those that are nurses, police and fire station. We make the most of community facilities and use the buses to get to the library, with the children, we have a walk to Stoke Floods and our use the local shops. We have local visits from Brandon Marsh, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, where a member of staff from the Trust brings fun outdoor activities for our children to take part in and visits from our friends at South Warwickshire Active Families (Free). We are hoping to return to all these opportunities in the forthcoming academic year.

We actively support parents with children with SEND needs.  We have a wide range of experiences of children that have Special Educational and Disability Needs diagnosis and this includes those that have traits of Autism or a diagnosis and those that have complex behaviour needs. We have a large outside play area that children access daily, we have playhouses, bats, ball, mud kitchen, water play, bikes and scooters.

We are also available to offer a soft play experience, at Cherubs.

To support the relationship between home and Cherubs we offer three parents meetings a year, this provides an opportunity for the key person and parents to have some quality time building a three-way relationship.

We have developed good working relationships with many of the local primary schools, we have regular meetings and can arrange additional support for children with special educational needs (SEND).

We have links with local Family Hub, so we can access information about current support available to families in the area.

We have also arranged Speech and Language Workshops and Positive Parenting Programmes, provided workshops on how to do phonics and support your child with maths.

The manager has qualified in a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies at Warwick University and has a qualification in parent facilitating and NVQ in Leadership and Management. All staff hold a relevant childcare qualification and hold a Paediatric First Aid Qualification, which is renewed every three years.
