ABC Nursery is a family run business which has been providing childcare services for families for 40 years.  ‘2023’ sees the celebration of this milestone.

We are a nursery that takes children from 9 months old right up to pre-school age.  We are open from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks a year, closing for 1 week at Christmas, each UK Bank Holiday and one staff training day each year in September.  ABC is an inclusive nursery and specialises in Special Education Needs and Autism.

We offer 2, 3 and 4 year old funding, which gives up to 15 free hours per week (or up to 30 free hours per week if eligible) for 38 weeks of the year.  We offer a limited number of fully funded places/ funded afternoon sessions, which are subject to availability.

Our location is convenient for Coventry City Centre (with direct bus routes into town), Canley Railway Station, and with lots of feeder primary schools in and around the area.

Our nursery is situated in what was originally the family home and consists of 3 areas, with each one having access to their own outdoor garden space, giving a further extension to our learning environment.  Our main garden consists of a large gravel pit, a large sand pit, a bike track and separate areas with space for many different activities.  We also have a woodland walk which includes a climbing frame and mud kitchen.  Our outdoor spaces are used daily by all the children.

Each week we have many external companies come in to provide the children with additional activities.  To name just a few: Drama Tots, Creative Flair, Rugby Tots, Bilinguasing.  The children love these sessions and we are helping also to support our local businesses.

We go on lots of outings, whether that is just a walk around the local area, visits to pet shops, the train station and trips out on the train, the airport, to parks and we regularly visit one of the local care homes.

All meals and snacks are provided during the course of the day (funded children do have the option to not purchase these and provide their own food).  The children are given healthy, nutritious food which is freshly prepared and all dietary and allergy requirements are catered for. The kitchen has received 5 stars for quality by the HSE.

As parents you will have peace of mind that your child is in a setting being looked after by qualified staff, who genuinely want to provide the best care for the children who attend our nursery and have a passion for each child’s development.  Our dedicated team consists of both young, and mature staff who have a wide range of qualifications, skills and experience.  A third of our staff have been with the nursery for many years, ranging from 10 years to 25 years.

All children are given the same opportunity to learn through play. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to form a curriculum, based on each individual child’s needs.  We use Blossom Educational to record all of your child’s details and progress, with a very easy to use parent app so you can keep up to date with how your child is doing each day.

Take a look at our website and give us a call or contact us by email if you would like to know any more information, or if you are interested in a nursery place with us and would like to come and have a look around the nursery.
