I believe that spending time outdoors is very important. The children go outdoors here every day, at least once a day, no matter what the weather because I believe that fresh air and wide open spaces are good for them! We have a fully enclosed back garden that the children can access whenever they want. But we also live near to lovely parks, woodland areas and we visit one of these places about once a week.
. I have worked in childcare for the last 20 years in a variety of settings, including schools, Sure Start children's centres and a early years setting. I have experience of working with children from 2 months to 11 years with a variety of differing needs.
I have a large lounge/dining room with easy access to resources for the children. There is also a garden room that is great for messy and creative activities but also has low level storage for children to access independently. The garden is large and secure. There is a play house and other large play equipment for children to use and explore.
I regularly attend toddler sessions and use the local facilities, for example the woods, library and family hub.
