Both my husband and I hold current CRB checks
I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and have completed the Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare and an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development.I have also attended some training in Safeguarding Children,Managing Children's Behaviour,Equal Opportunities,Ofsted Portfolios and EYFS training.
I am flexible in my approach, parents are given monthly feedback and notified of events, activities and trips. Our days are filled with fun and educational activities such as arts and crafts, role play, dressing up,reading and story time, puzzles, playdough, cooking, musical instruments, singing and exercises, games, messy play and lots more to stimulate children's minds and development.I have a wide range of toys to promote all 6 areas of learning and development in the EYFS.
I provide a safe homely environment where all children will be treated like part of the family. I work in partnership with parents and promote positive images and culture.Children are treated equally and individually and as part of a family.Children's dietary needs are respected and individual needs are met.
I promote healthy lifestyles and make sure the children have enough physical play and promote healthy eating by providing healthy snacks and fruits,I also encourage discussion about healthy lifestyles.
Children also have the opportunity to visit the parks to go on nature walks, bike rides, visits to toddler groups, soft play areas and library,go on picnics and swimming and visit farms and local shops.
In addition I have worked in a childcare setting and worked towards the EYFS standards,I understand what paperwork needs to be done and the standard of care each child should have.
Finally at the end of each year we also provide a graduation event/party for the children as they move from one milestone to another.
I have a medium size,well equipped garden with a slide,see-saw,small trampoline,play house,swing ( large and small),bikes,balls,sand and water tray,picnic table and chairs,tunnels,cars,trollies etc.In addition I have a neatly maintained ,heated conservatory.
