I am NNEB qualified and have the RSA Working with Young Children qualification and I am also an Early Years Assessor- Internal Verifier and Tutor - I have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene certificate and have attended EYFS training and Safeguarding. I have a garden for the children to use and I am able to access a child and adult activity group at a local school.I also use the local nature reserve area for walks. Children are taken to the museum and art gallery for experiences outside the home.
All children are encouraged to participate in creative activities.General skills are introduced such as looking after their own health and safety.
Children have the use of a computer and sensory equipment is available and a large selection of multi- cultural and age appropriate books always used.Natural materials are used to enhance children's knowledge of the environment.
Emphasis is on communication skills, to encourage babies and children to express themselves in a safe,secure and caring environment.Also to challenge them with a variety of toys,activities and social interactions.There are toys and various games to cover a variety of age groups.
I have an extra room with toys and equipment and IT equipment to be used which is Ofsted inspected.
