Davenport Lodge offers a unique all inclusive service for babies from 6 weeks to 2 years 11 months old. Children transfer to the Kindergarten rooms at age 3 to complete the pre school year/s.
We offer the 3 and 4 year old Nursery Grant, which gives 15 free hours per week for eligible weeks (or 30 free hours per week) for 38 weeks of the year. We offer a limited number of full time, term time only places for 3 and 4 year olds only.
The Nursery School provides one stop care and high quality education for babies from 6 weeks old, on a well maintained and secure site in Earlsdon. We are open from 7.50am until 6pm Monday to Friday for 50 weeks a year, closing for 2 weeks at Christmas, each UK Bank Holiday and one staff training day each year (usually in September).
The location is convenient for Coventry City Centre, Coventry Railway Station and King Henry VIII School.
All care services are reasonably priced and the Nursery School is registered with Ofsted. The Nursery School site is in a beautiful tree lined 1/6th acre site which is used as an environmental outdoor learning area and for "Forest Schools".
Susan Nalus (BA Hons, QTS) leads our Nursery School with assistance from Karen Pitt (BA hons, FdA) the Business Manager and Emma Walker (BA hons, FdA) the Early Years Coordinator. The team currently consists of 38 staff whose qualifications range from BA (hons) in Early Years to Level 2 in Childcare and Education.

There are a variety of activities held on site for babies and children, and once children are 2 years old they participate in dance lessons and music lessons (with participation in concerts). In addition, the 3 and 4 year olds participate in cooking lessons, Forest Schools, music, French classes and Kidkick (mini Karate) lessons with our visiting teachers. Our 3 and 4 year olds visit the Alan Higgs Centre weekly for PE sessions including socca tots, short tennis and mini golf.
