Young Carers Project - Carers Trust Heart of England

We work with young people aged between 5 and 18 years old who support a family member (physically or emotionally) who has a long term illness, physical/learning disability, mental ill health, drug or alcohol dependency or is elderly and frail.
We offer many services to young carers, including:
One to One Emotional Support - the opportunity to offload and develop life skills required to deal with any issues young carers may be facing.
Activities and Trips - opportunities, both individual and in a group setting, to access fun activities especially over the school holiday period. All activities are free to young carers.
Young Carers Assessments - every child who provides care for another person is entitled to an assessment in their own right. The Carers Trust undertake these assessments on behalf of Coventry City Council.
Young Carer Awareness Raising - working with schools and other professionals to raise awareness of who is a Young Carer.
Newsletter - keeping you up to date with all the latest activities
Online Support - via email and Facebook
