Hillz FM
Hillz FM is a community radio station in the heart of Hillfields broadcasting a range of shows and genres including Irish, Reggae, House, Jazz, Afro beats and many more. Hillz FM offers a free 6 week radio training programme to anyone who is unemployed, teaching them an introduction in to radio broadcasting. The course is a great place to start for anyone wanting to increase their confidence and find out more about radio. On completion of the course there are opportunities in volunteering, and having a live or pre-recorded show on Hillz 98.6 FM. We also offers weekly Young Hillz Takeover’s, where we inspire our young people (age 10+) to go further in media, communications and gaining confidence. We take each young person on an individual journey using the radio as a tool to gain skills and make differences within their lives.”
