Primary Mental Health Service- Supporting Children and Young people in Coventry

Who Are We?

The Primary Mental Health Service (PMHS) in Coventry offers preventative support and early intervention for children and young people who are struggling with emotional difficulties or low level mental health problems.

We do this through the provision of:

  • Solution Focused Consultations
  • Psychological Education Consultations
  • Training for professionals

We are committed to providing a high quality, accessible and responsive service which brings integrated mental health support to children and young people through the involvement of school staff, professionals and parents/carers. 

How Do I Refer into the Service?

If you have concerns regarding a child or young person‘s mental health then a referral can be made through the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Single Point of Entry.

Once received the referral is then screened and  allocated to the most appropriate service. 

The services include:

  • PMHS
  • Reach

Referrals should include as much detail and information as possible and can be found on the Coventry CAMHS website.
