childcare
I have a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and worked in early years settings up to managerial level. I have completed my Paediatrics First Aid training, my Food hygiene and Safe guarding training. During my time as a childcare practitioner I attended lots of training and courses, such as Behaviour Management, Every Child's a talker, Schemas, SEN training and a specialist course on Autism, I also completed a course at Warwick University on Child Psychology. I have completed more training and courses which you will be able to see in my Training Records folder. I will continuously update my provision as and where necessary to ensure I can continue to provide the highest quality of care for your child. (I will always try to access training courses in my own time, such as the evenings and in half term holidays, so it doesn't affect the time that you have booked for your child). I also have A DBS. My partner also holds a DBS. I Shall update these training courses and DBS every three years.
I will provide all healthy and nutritious meals for your child which will include, breakfast, lunch, dinner, puddings, snacks and drinks. I will follow the EYFS to nurture your child's learning and development during my care. They will have a learning journal book so I can track their development. This book will be shared with you each term or more often if you should wish to see it at anytime. I would ask for input from you too such as family photographs of outings and activities. I could then put this in your child's journal. I shall provide both indoor and outdoor activities for your child. We have a local park that I shall be able to take them to to explore the natural environment. Along my road there are two fantastic parent and tots groups which are held at the churches. This will provide your child with the opportunity to play with a wider range of children. The community groups are very welcoming and friendly. We have a local library which I will be planning to take them to, to explore a wider range of books and the song and rhyme time group they hold there.
Your child will be offered settling in sessions before they start to be taken into my care. I would recommend 3 settle in sessions. One where you stay with your child and fill in all necessary forms with me, a second one where you leave your child for 30 minutes then a third where you leave your child for one hour. If your child requires more settle in sessions then they shall be provided to suit their needs.
