Little Nature Explorers at Nettle Hill
Our Little Nature Explorers is a space for you as parents/carers to come and unwind in the outdoors with your child and connect with others. Every week, we have a song, story, time to explore and play, teas and coffees. There is an opportunity to explore nature through the senses with a little treasure basket on each family's mat space. Dip in as you wish and enjoy the warmth of the fire. Snuggle up in a hammock under the trees or have a play in the mud kitchen. At the end of the session, we gather to sing a nature-inspired goodbye song.
Spending time outdoors from an early age is very beneficial for physical and mental wellbeing. It helps to shape long-life positive environmental attitudes. Experience the ever-changing surroundings in the natural world and become connected with nature.
What if it is raining and cold? We go out in all weathers except for in high winds. We have a campfire to keep warm and will provide hot drinks for grown-ups. We have a shelter that goes up over our fire pit area when it is raining. There is also an outdoor classroom structure that you can take cover in.
