Urban Goodies Community Fridge & Ready Meal Project
Urban Goodies CIC Community Fridge has been open since August 2022 and to date over 200 families have benefitted from our community fridge which relates to over 7,263 meals received. This equates to over 2 tonnes of food.
The aim of the fridge is to fight food waste and support local people. It does this by collecting leftover food from businesses, then making it available to local residents and community groups. This includes individuals with limited access to affordable fresh and nutritious food.
The Community Fridge is housed in Holbrooks Community Care Association, Holbrook Lane, Coventry, CV6 4DE and accessible every Tuesday and Wednesday from 12-3pm and every Saturday from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
We also operate a ready meal project whereby we cook nutritional and affordable ready meals for people to collect from the fridge, the prices are economical and the project is designed to help cut down on energy bills alongside being balanced and healthy recipes.
In order to use the fridge we ask people to join our Club this is free and not means tested with no referral needed.
If you email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form OR pop to Holbrooks Community Care Association on Holbrooks Lane, CV6 4DE during the following hours above we can help you complete the form.
