Eating Disorder Service
The Eating Disorder service provides specialist treatment for people with severe eating disorders aged 16 and over
Wherever you live in Coventry or Warwickshire, you should be able to get the help and care you need.
These services are based at Coventry and in Warwick.
The teams available to work with patients in eating disorder services consist of consultants in eating disorders, other doctors, clinical psychologists, nurses and nurse therapists, dieticians, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
Most people who receive care from us receive outpatient treatment tailored to their needs, with a range of psychological therapies.
The outpatient service is open between 8:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday. Some appointments are available outside these times.
Some people require a period of inpatient treatment, which is provided at the Aspen Centre. Inpatient treatment usually involves a programme of re-feeding or dietary stabilisation, together with group and individual therapy. We only recommend inpatient care where we are clear that this is the right thing for you. Family work is also offered to some patients.
You can also talk in confidence to an adviser from eating disorders charity BEAT by calling the adult helpline or youth helpline numbers below.
