Meredith Road Baptist Church activities for children and young people – we have activity groups for children and young people of all ages on Sunday mornings and midweek.

 

Teenagers

We offer a variety of youth activities to give young people the opportunities to be challenged and motivated about their christian faith, while making friends and having fun!

TROGS (14-18) 

‘The Rather Older Group’ meets on Sunday mornings and during the week.  This is a great opportunity to make friends whilst discussing social, spiritual and ethical issues.

The midweek cell group allows the young people to meet in smaller numbers, to worship and to look at the christian faith in relevant ways to them.TROGS group is school years 8+

 

Celebr8 (11 – 18)

Celebr8 is a new dance group for 11 – 18 year old girls running on a Tuesday evening from 6.30 – 7.30pm.  For more information please contact us at the church office.

Bullet Proof (11- 14) 

Meets at 7.30pm – 9pm on alternate Tuesday evenings in term time.  The aim is to provide a safe environment to encourage the social, physical and spiritual development of all the young people, with everyone having loads of fun.

Girls Cell Group school years 7-10

Is cell for 11-14's which meets at the home of Nathan and Delphine Walker. Cell offers the opportunity to get together on a Wednesday evening ( 4.30-5.30pm) to look at how Christianity and the bible are relevant to us today, to worship and to talk through social, spiritual and ethical issues with friends. Youth Cell Group school years 11-13,  7-8.30 pm

  Youth Worship Band(11 - 18)

The New Generation youth band meets on a Sunday evening from 6.30 to 8pm to practice and learn new songs and to worship together.

Children's Groups and Activities

Meredith Road has a fun, friendly and welcoming Junior Church department which incorporates many departments and activities both on a Sunday and during the week.

Oaks and Acorns
is a weekly group for parents, carers  with babies or toddlers aged 0 – 4 years.  Open every Tuesday afternoon between 1 – 2.30pm, term time only (£1 per family).  Refreshments are provided for children and adults.  Soft play, craft, bikes and cars, baby room and much more are available.

Girls’ Brigade (Coventry 13th)
A Christian uniformed organisation, divided into 4 groups: Explorers (4-7), Juniors (7-10), Seniors (10-13) and Brigadiers (14+). Meetings are on a Wednesday evening during term time only, at 6.30pm – 8.00pm (7.45 pm for explorers), for a mixture of games, badge work and other activities.

JAM (Jesus and me) club (age 8 – 11)
JAM meets once a fortnight on Tuesdays at 6.30pm – 8.00pm, during term time only.   JAM is about having fun, teaching, learning and a wide range of social activities. JAM Club is for children in school years 3-6

Hosanna Dance group (ages 6 -11)
Meets on alternate Tuesday evenings during term time at 6.30 – 7.30pm, the children learn to express themselves buy exploring the use of dance, music, flags, pom poms and ribbons in worship.

Messy Church (families)
Is a fun packed family session, which includes crafts, games and worshiping God as a family, followed by sharing an evening meal together.  This happens half termly on a Friday evening from 4pm – 6.30pm.
