Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy

The Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy (CWBA) is a not for profit organisation.

Developing people of all ages and abilities through Wheelchair basketball.

CWBA has been established to provide wheelchair basketball training and development regardless of age, ability, gender ethnic background or religion.

All activities are provided and supported by volunteers.

The Academy is specifically aimed at people who have a physical disability.

This encompasses all ages, both male and female from many cultures and religions which represent the area. There are a few able bodied players integrated into the academy.

The ethos of the academy is to encourage personal development and social interaction, through wheelchair basketball, leading to improved self confidence in the players.

We encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch and come and play.

We also encourage whole families to get involved, get in a wheelchair and experience this fantastic sport!

We cater for all levels from absolute beginner to high level national and International players.

Please visit our website at: www.cwba.info for more information.

The participants, parents and physiotherapists report benefits in the areas of health, fitness and well-being and more importantly from the younger group in developing self-confidence, social and communication skills which improves their integration into society and provides tools for independent living.

 Come and get involved!
