I believe I provide good quality childcare as I have been registered for the past 22 years. I offer care for children aged between birth and 13 years in a warm, fun,caring and stimulating environment where safety is of the utmost importance.
I am an ex police officer who has experience in child protection.
I have an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education and have done courses in handling children's behaviour as well as Paediatric First Aid.
I have an 7 seater car which is a great advantage when I take the children out on day trips.I also go to toddler groups twice a week as well as to local parks.
I provide an extensive range of toys and equipment for babies,toddlers and older children including a good range of art and craft materials so we can experiment on designing things to celebrate different cultures during festival celebrations. I am currently teaching children in my care makaton sign language to build their confidence and ability to communicate when non verbal.
I have a room specifically for childminding which provides the children with extra room to have free access to all the toys and a extremely large enclosed back garden that has a great play house with a kitchen along with a variety of cars , bikes,scooters, water pit and sandpit and more outdoor equipment not listed.
My extensive knowledge of childcare helps me understand that children need affection which I readily give along with praise and encouragement which helps to build confidence and self esteem in children who come into my care. I accept 2, 3  and 4 year funded places. My husband and I are both foster carers. We have extended our family we now have special guardianship of a little one.
