PQA is a weekend performing arts academy providing tuition for children and young people from 4-18 years. Students spend three hours with us, rotating through hour-long sessions in comedy and drama, musical theatre and film and television. Students are split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist teachers.

Your local Academy is run by an experienced, dedicated professional who has proven to us they have the passion, drive and dedication to deliver a really different performing arts education. All our staff undergo a rigorous recruitment procedure which naturally includes an enhanced CRB check and we have a stringent set of minimum standards that our teaching staff must reach before they can work for us.

PQA Poppets is our performing arts experience for four and five year olds. These 90 minute sessions are designed to encourage young children to develop performance and communication skills as they create and explore stories, songs, characters and situations through the use of acting, movement, music, voice, dance, and teamwork.

Our Poppets teachers are all performing arts specialists, who have bags of experience working with children under six. All staff are enhanced DBS checked and trained in child protection and E-Safety.

Classes are usually centred around fun and imaginative themes. Teachers create exciting and energetic lessons where our Poppets will travel through space, take a trip under the sea, explore lost jungles or find themselves dancing through the halls of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Just like our older students, Poppets can choose to perform in mini musicals featuring songs from our best loved shows such as The Wizard of Oz, Annie and Oliver.
