We have a beautiful home like setting, delivering a high standard of quality care for each child within our setting. At Stoke Green we pride ourselves on empowering our community, family and staff on our new ethos, Our curriculum at Stoke Green Day Nursery is to provide a variety of combinations of education, such as the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We utilize a number of different theorists such as Emilio Reggio, Steiner and Te Whāriki approaches to Early Years Education. This is otherwise known as the Curiosity approach. We believe that most effective way to capture the interest of a child is in the present moment, this allows the practitioners to engage in child-initiated play and extent them all important teachable moments, this learning approach is otherwise known as “In the moment planning”.

We provide ever changing environments for children to explore, natural materials, loose parts and real life resources are perfect for heuristic play, allowing children to develop their creative and critical thinking skills.  Our ethos quote - “A rainbow of friends is a dream we can share, where everyone’s treated with kindness and care”.

We are a diverse Nursery with multiple languages and ethnicities. All areas meet the requirements of the EYFS. The children's interests are followed, and provision is planned around each child's needs. We have access to local parks within the area and we are situated in a conservation area. Parents are always welcome to the setting and we encourage active involvement within their child's learning.

The setting has 16 members of staff who are all safeguarded training, up to date DBS and relevant qualifications. All our meals are freshly prepared, and home made by our experienced cook. Our menus are amended alongside a nutritionist and are healthy and well balanced. We cater for all dietary requirements and our menus change with the sessions throughout the year, we cater for any dietary requirements and allergens.

We have a beautiful spacious garden, providing a physical play area and a large range of physical movement space for the children. We have a bark chipping area with a climbing frame and activities available for the children to challenge themselves. We have sheltered home corner for role-play and imagination area. We have age appropriate areas for all ages - an area for babies and toddlers to have their own freedom and space. We have a buddy system in place as to where we encourage the children to ensure that everyone has a friend and to build positive relationship with one another. The designated "Buddy" for the day will find friends in need we encourage them to play together. We have a buddy bench to support this friendship making.
