The Money Carer Foundation, a nationwide social enterprise, provides appointeeship services focused on safeguarding vulnerable adults and managing their day-to-day finances in partnership with local Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) initiatives. We also offer informal money management services, catering to vulnerable adults seeking assistance with their daily financial responsibilities. This encompasses handling utility payments, care expenses, rent, and various other financial transactions on behalf of our clients.

Our appointeeship plan tailored for care home residents caters to individuals who now reside in care or nursing facilities and necessitate an independent appointee to oversee their welfare benefit entitlements, ensuring timely payment of their care and other expenses. With thousands of clients under our care in residential settings, Money Carer collaborates closely with care home staff to address the money management needs of our shared clients.

Many of our clients in residential care and nursing homes are elderly individuals who rely on us to guarantee punctual payments for essential services like chiropody and hairdressing. Additionally, we facilitate the distribution of their Personal Expenditure Allowance (PEA), either directly to them or to their care home resident account.
