Foleshill Women’s Training (FWT) are one of the main partners and are delivering the women only aspect of this 2-year AMIF funded ‘Integrate Coventry’ project.

The aim of the project is to help integrate refugees and other third country nationals rebuild their lives in safety, becoming fully self-sufficient and establish themselves within the wider community in Coventry.

FWT are supporting women offering a holistic approach to working with clients. FWT support clients over a period of time, on a 1 to 1 case basis, addressing issues and concerns they experience, educating along the way to ensure they are able to deal with these issues themselves going forward. This has varied from benefit maximisation to social inclusion including advice and guidance, online ESOL, social groups, confidence building and volunteering and employment.

They have also been connecting clients to opportunities on the Enrichment Programme such as attending social groups. Since they started delivery in January 2021, they have:

1) Supported 47 women through case working & enrichment activities. FWT have also started two online ESOL classes for Pre entry and Entry 1.

2) Delivered 12 successful Friday Wellbeing workshops to participants.

3) Planned and delivered an IWD (International Women’s Day) online event which 54 women attended.
