The Art Shed

The art shed provides art classes for all ages and levels in Coventry.

Classes at The art shed are fun, relaxed, and supportive - run by Jackie, these classes are completely tailored to your needs and working at your pace.

Suitable for ages 4 and over, children's classes are designed to be fun, relaxed and personalised. Classes try to achieve a balance between structure and guidance to build and improve drawing and painting skills, while also allowing the freedom to develop creativity, self-esteem and independence. If your child has specific or specialised learning needs, Jackie is very happy to meet and discuss how they can work to meet these needs. The art shed aim to use art to develop confidence and communication.

Classes for Over 12's

Classes for older children and teenagers are relaxed and informal and encourage artists to be independent with their choices and their creative ideas. Students will work on a theme each week to produce an artwork and will be offered resources, ideas and guidance to get them started.

GCSE and A Level Art

The art shed also offer individual tuition for GCSE and A Level students to achieve qualifications. Whether that is supporting work they do at school or working with home educated students who want to achieve a qualification. Jackie has been successfully teaching and leading the subject for 13 years with excellent results, as well as moderating for AQA which provides extensive experience of the examination process. The Art Shed also teach photography to both GCSE and A Level.
