British Association of Play Therapists

The British Association of Play Therapists is the first and foremost professional body that registers Play Therapists and regulates Play Therapy practice. BAPT represents quality assurance for Play Therapy and holds an online register of qualified Play Therapists and those available for private work.

Play Therapy is a way of helping children express their feelings and deal with their emotional problems, using play as the main communication tool. The child or young person is empowered to explore at their own pace and with their own agenda, issues that are affecting their life at present.
