We are a flourishing playgroup in the North East of Coventry, we are 3 miles from the city centre.
We actively encourage parents to engage with their children's learning by encouraging them into the setting; to use their skills, share their culture by telling stories, cooking. We encourage parents to share their jobs; we have annual visits from those that are nurses, police and fire station. We make the most of community facilities and use the buses to get to the library, with the children, we have a walk to Stoke Floods and our use the local shops.
We have a wide variety of experience we have previously supported children and family’s physical needs e.g. mobility, asthma, visual and hearing loss. We have years of experience of providing food and activities for children with dietary needs, whether it is a cultural or medical allergy, we have four members of staff who are trained to administer an epi-pen. We support families with children who have a diagnosis of Autism and behaviour needs.
We have a large outside play area that children access daily, we have playhouses, bats, ball, mud kitchen, water play, bikes and scooters.
We are also available to offer a soft play experience, at Cherubs.
To support the relationship between home and Cherubs we offer three parents meetings a year, this provides an opportunity for the key person and parents to have some quality time building a three-way relationship.
We have developed good working relationships with many of the local primary schools, we have regular meetings and can arrange additional support for children with special educational needs (SEN)
We have links with Richard Lee Children's Centre, so we can access information about current groups in the area with the support of a family support worker, should you require some support.
We have also arranged Speech and Language Workshops and Positive Parenting Programmes.
