The South Warwickshire Voluntary Group of Diabetes UK was formed over 25 years ago and is run by volunteers to help people with diabetes, or their carers, in South Warwickshire and to promote a better public awareness of the condition, by holding local exhibitions, manning information stands and giving talks and presentations to other organisations and schools when requested.
We also organise fund raising activities throughout the year, to support diabetes research and provide financial support for local diabetes projects.
We hold meetings in the John Turner Building at Warwick Hospital on the first Wednesday of each month, excluding June, July and August. Our meetings commence at 7.30pm. There is no charge and, although encouraged, you do not have to be a member of Diabetes UK to attend.
Carers, friends or anyone with an interest in diabetes are welcome.
