My name is Juliet Proud and have been an OFSTED registered childminder for over 4 years. 

Before this I worked in various customer service roles including Cybex and Jaguar Land Rover, so I understand what it takes to provide outstanding care and service. I made the decision to change career when I had my second child. I wanted to enjoy more of the precious young years with my own children as well as being able to provide a happy and secure learning environment for other’s to come and join us. Both of my children love having the little ones here, they enjoy reading them stories and helping them explore. I have 3 dogs,they are very friendly and have been brought up around children from young puppies, so are very used to being fussed and occasionally pulled. They are a great opportunity to learn about care and respect for others. Whilst I am not in the room and whilst the children are eating they are kept separate for safety and hygiene reasons. They also give me a reason to keep fit and healthy.

I work alongside Sarah, who is my assistant. She is unbelievably caring and motivated to contribute and assist with the children’s learning and development. She has a wealth of experience, having 5 school aged children of her own.

We are both fully DBS checked, I have two, one for childminding and one for Social Care. We also both hold up to date Paediatric First Aid and Designated Lead Safeguarding training. I think its an important aid to regularly update and refresh our knowledge and skills to help broaden the children’s minds.

I communicate mostly by WhatsApp and email on a daily/weekly basis. Parents receive pictures and videos regularly so they can see what their little ones have been doing. I also keep a paper record of their individual development trackers, which an able me to plan for the children’s next steps.
